These pages on Day Without Art were produced for the Glenbow Museum site [Calgary, Alberta, Canada] in order to fulfil a number of objectives relating to the displays and activities for the most recent World AIDS Day [December 1^st, 1996].

• create awareness about social and health issues related to AIDS
• profile and document Canadian artists and art
• attract attention to art about AIDS-related topics
• provide a memorial that shows what has been lost
• indicate the presence and location of resources
• contribute to the available knowledge about AIDS
• make new links to various arts organizations and communities
• promote involvement in social concerns

Unfortunately we have been unable so far to find someone to give us copyright permission to show the images we have prepared on Glenbows site.
